There are situations in life, when it is rather difficult to separatate the objective circumstances from the experienced emotional affection. It is in our nature to judge best when looking at the situaction from a distance, but I am not sure this is the best way to approach problems anymore.
Yesterday my mind struggled with itself tands on an issue of basic hr management. Not beeing in charge of the decision made it quite easy for me to observe the process from outside and to my knowledge in sucha way to benefit immensly form it. The lesson learned the soft way yesterday only strenghtened my belief that each and every team member is entitled to and therefore must be treated as a speciffic individual. Only when looking at him/her as such is it possible to see that certain levels of unproffessionalism, that you would otherwise dismiss as an attitude problem are not really dominating the persons approach to his or her work. Sure sometimes we need to learn things the hard way, sure some people need to take a single lesson twice. But what is most important is that they learn with their heart on.
All you need to do is look, listen and trust.
